The surprise big spender at UNICEF’s Snowflake Ball Tuesday night was a teen.

Madelaine “West” Duchovny, 15, daughter of David Duchovny and Téa Leoni, made a winning bid of $17,000 for courtside seats to a Knicks-Mavericks game.

The tickets were auctioned off by former NBA star Dikembe Mutombo, who did his trademark finger wag when bids came in too low, and Kimberly Chandler, wife of Mavericks player Tyson Chandler.

Madelaine sat separately from her mom at the starry Cipriani Wall Street gala, and few had any idea who the deep-pocketed kid was.

We usually get something. Last year we got Beyoncé tickets,” West told us while holding a signed basketball that came with her winning lot. “I love the Knicks. My whole family loves the Knicks, so it was kind of obvious that we needed those tickets.”

She moved to New York in 2009 with her famous parents. Later, West turned heads again by making a $30,000 donation (with encouragement from her mom) to fund a UNICEF truck for charitable missions. The gala raised $3.3 million.

Bryant Gumbel emceed for a crowd including his wife, Hilary, and Tom Freston, who were both honored, Matt Lauer, Kelly Ripa and Jeff and Caryn Zucker.

Also spotted as Jill Scott and Nico & Vinz performed: Gillian and Sylvester Miniter,Gayle King, HSN’s Mindy Grossman, Derek Lam and Narciso Rodriguez.
